Baking Brownies

I guess I'll post on our website...since it's snowing....on a Saturday....again.

We rushed out to the grocery store this morning to get enough provisions to survive the storm. Basically we bought the ingredients for shepherds pie (cottage pie, if you are from England) and dog biscuits. The shepherds pie will be our dinner and the dog treats will ensure that Izzy goes outside in the snow and doesn't poop on our floor. She still hates snow (and cold, rain, etc) and must be bribed to do her business where she's supposed to during severe weather. Paige is using this day to show us all the gaps in our baby-proofing. Our baby-proofing is very similar to airport security, we have to keep updating and making changes to fix problems after they occur (instead of anticipating them). I have entertained myself by making homemade cinnamon brownies for our new neighbors. Since I decided to do this project after our morning run to the grocery store, I had to go back out to get some eggs, cocoa, vanilla and confectioners sugar to create the deliciousness.

To totally change the subject, I would like to discuss the latest hype over the "song" Pants on the Ground. For some reason this "song" really bothers me. I am shamelessly a fan of American Idol, but I really hate it when they do something like allow a 68 year old man to sing some stupid song during the audition show. I have a theory that the "song" was actually written by some American Idol exec to create a hype. Like, seriously, did a 68 year old man that is well out of the age range for the show really wait in line all day to audition? It doesn't bother me enough to make me stop watching Idol, I do love the show, but I don't buy into the whole Pants on the Ground movement. I want to become a non-fan of it on facebook, but they don't do non-fandom yet.
